This amazing beachfront home has one of the best private beaches in southeastern Connecticut. The sand is terrific, it squishes between your toes and feels soft and conforming with every step! Seldom crowded by the few who share beach rights the views are amazing and less than 1 mile away you have a perfect view of Duck Island. Once you pull yourself away from the beach you are sure to fall in love with this amazing home. With 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths, it easily accommodates 9 guests with beds and a couple more can enjoy the pullout couch- don’t forget your friends as it is also pet friendly!
Welcome to Duckling Crossing. Most female ducks hatch five ducklings. Since we have five children, as they were growing up, we always referred to them as our little “ducklings”. We still do! Even though some of our little ducklings have ducklings of their own now. Coincidentally, Duck Island is right out our window and their are plenty of ducks that love to swim in the beautiful waters. Duckling Crossing seems like the perfect name for our beach home. Come and see for yourself.
The Space:
The home has four bedrooms with two bathrooms and a large private beach & entertainment space inside and out. Inside has updated appliances and brand-new furnishings to match this completely remodeled home. Bedrooms on the second floor accompany a full bath, and washer and dryer for your convenience. Downstairs is a living area with comfy seating to relax, a dining room table for 8 plus two additional stools tucked under the island, and a modern kitchen. Outdoors features a seating area with an outdoor gas grill provided for grilling, and the beach, did we mention the beach?

The home is located in a very secluded and quiet area with a safe surrounding area and warm neighbors.
Overview:
Westbrook is a quaint seaside town nestled between New Haven and New London. This town offers plenty of marine activities, beaches, fresh salt air.
Getting Around:
Westbrook is very easily navigable via car with many great eateries and activities just minutes from the home! The nearest airport is Groton New London Airport that is a short 30 mins away.
Another way to navigate the area is via train! Take the Shoreline East line to get to the Westbrook Train Station.

“Great stay at this Westbrook beach house. Cute 4BR, right on the beach! It was like a private beach. Tons of restaurants within minutes. Great for paddling, exploring, etc. The sandbar off the beach was great for kids (and dogs!). Be a little careful as a hightide surge caused the water to flood the street, so we had to move the cars. The place could also supply more toilet paper, washing supplies, etc. But overall, a very smooth and easy stay!”

Great for paddling, exploring, etc. The sandbar off the beach was great for kids (and dogs!). Be a little careful as a hightide surge caused the water to flood the street, so we had to move the cars. The place could also supply more toilet paper, washing supplies, etc. But overall, a very smooth and easy stay!”

There is a sandbar located just off-shore that is awesome for all ages to spend some time in the water during low-tide. The house itself was clean and recently updated and has everything you might want to spend a week (or longer) and enjoy all the beach has to offer. We cooked every night we were there, but there are plenty of restaurants close by. A few are even a <1 mile away if you wanted to walk to them. The house isn’t huge, but it was big enough and the rooms are furnished well so that it easily handled our group of 9 (6 adults, 3 kids). Two minor improvement suggestions - patio seating for more than 4 (we brought an extra table and chairs) and walls around the outdoor shower for privacy so it can be used as a shower. My entire family loved this beach house and we would love to stay again next summer!!!”

“Hi! We just want to bring to your attention in case you aren’t aware about the upstairs bathroom shower. Only about half the water would come out of the showerheads while the rest came out the main faucet so the tub filled up quickly. The drain seemed to get stuck down so we had to prop it open in order for it to drain otherwise we stood in water. Otherwise everything was great!”

“Perfect beach home for a summer trip with the kids! Home was clean, beautifully decorated with all listed amenities and then some. The games and books for kids and adults was a nice added touch. The 4 bedrooms worked perfectly for our group with ample storage between closets and dressers. 2 of the rooms face the beach, you can hear the waves at night so relaxing. Very quiet neighborhood, safe and welcoming. Perfect area for morning walks and bike rides. The reason we came was the beach- and let me tell you this was the perfect beach area. The sand is soft, and clean. Plenty of space to set up for the day, for the most part private other than groups that came from neighboring streets but they respected the spaces near the homes. I found the home to be worth every penny spent in convenience alone with bringing kids to the beach. Outdoor shower was a major plus with little ones. Seeing the ducks in the mornings while having coffee out on the patio- perfection!”

“We had a great stay at Duckling Crossing! We loved the beautiful sound views and beach accessibility. The place was clean and consistent with the listing photos. The stairs between the two floors were a little nerve-racking with a toddler and aging parents in the house—the treads are a bit shallow and the hall area at the top of the staircase is small and open (no door). Nevertheless, would recommend this place.”

“Just checked out of this beautiful beach house today, we had 5 adults and 3 kids and we had a blast the beach is so close which was awesome for the kids to play and be safe the beach has nice sand and not many people it was beautiful, Jason communicates very well and super quick with any questions we had this house was just perfect it is all updated brand new everything and very well equipped with everything you need the kids loved all the games to play at night and the adults loved the outside patio and large dinner table to hang out location is perfect everyone around was super nice, please don’t hesitate to rent this home, we can’t wait to book again !!!!”

“Just checked out of this beautiful beach house today, we had 5 adults and 3 kids and we had a blast the beach is so close which was awesome for the kids to play and be safe the beach has nice sand and not many people it was beautiful, Jason communicates very well and super quick with any questions we had this house was just perfect it is all updated brand new everything and very well equipped with everything you need the kids loved all the games to play at night and the adults loved the outside patio and large dinner table to hang out location is perfect everyone around was super nice, please don’t hesitate to rent this home, we can’t wait to book again !!!!”
